Seonyudo Park.

On Wednesday we went on a field trip to Seonyudo park for photography class,
It was a nice little park near uni, took a taxi for 3700won, there were 4 of us so some other girl paid =P but if I calculate how much it would of cost us in AUD it would be like 86cents, soo cheap!!!!

So last Friday I went to an exhibition also for photography class but I went with my friend Vinnie from France, and so his major is photography and he gave me lots of things to think about in regards to photography and inspiration when taking a photo. This got me really excited in taking photos similar to that extent, I am truly inspired by the work of Andreas Gurksy, he is truly amazazing! his photos are like mind blowing.

This photo was taken I'm pretty sure on a hot air balloon, with wind and while carrying this massive camera took an amazing shot of hundreds of skiers going down the mountain. The size and quality of this photo would be amazing to see in real life.!

Ok so a little off topic, but what I was trying to relate this to was the fact that I got inspired to take shots of time within a frame, hence the bird pictures I took which you will see lol.

Before we entered the park. All the kids were so adorable and loved posing in front of our cameras...what has our world come to LOL.

We are such a happy bunch! s2

And so the bird photos begin =D
My idea was to capture all the light from the window area.
Flying Birds, to get them to fly was the hardest part, gosh the pigeons here are lazy ones!
I found this ant hole and tried to take them moving, not sure if I got what I wanted but I'm sure to the multiple onlookers I looked like a true photographer while I was on all fours taking pictures of the floor lol

 Why is one light blue??!?
Trying to capture the moving water and still plants in the background.

                                     Bubbles!!!

It was actually really bright and nice here but I was playing with the exposure and it ended up looking like this lol.
If only people would walk past the door so I could capture them moving GAH! it was frustrating cos I was waiting for such a long time and then gave up :(

My last picture I took before I got to tired to take more photo's,
I actually scared my friend while trying to get the bird to fly away lol.
It was really funny cos I think everyone here is also afraid of pigeons, so he probably screamed cos he was shocked to see pigeons fly everywhere lol!!

Mid-Semester Tests...

I was planning to blog earlier, but recently our internet in the dormitory has slowed down to a point where it wont even load this page for me to post _ _"

anyway this week has been mid-semester test for students at Hongik Uni. I personally haven't had any because design subjects are assignment based but it's been a rather quiet week as most of my Korean friends have been m.i.a all week studying.
I did have fun nights out with my exchange friends and some of my other friends, playing pool, chilling out at bars, eating new food etc ;)

I also managed to make it to the cherry blossom festival, which I went to with my Rena.

Wooo cherry blossoms!! =D

It looks like snow when the petals fall!! Wish I could have caught a picture of it!!

So it says Hanggang Park, but actually it was right next to Youido Church which it made it convenient for us to get there. Everyone should know i'm horrible at directions, even Rena, Vincent and a few other people have picked that up here already LOL

Rena has a thing for nature and bark lol
Your welcome Rena for giving you a special mention!~ =P

So the only other time I brought my camera out this week was when I met up with Bo (left) and her friend Jinny(right)
I met Bo off Bee in Australia, lol this sentence sounds weirder than it should but yeh =P
Anyways she said she would be coming back to Korea so when she did she gave me a buzz and wala, it was great fun.
Too bad they live 1 hour away from us otherwise I'm sure we would hang out more, but we have planned to hang out again sometime soon.
Definitely one of the most awesome Korean's I know!
They even carry their own handbags around. =P
Peace ;) (Salmon salad, it was really good and refreshing)

Matthieu and Rena being friends...kind of lol
So even though I haven't been out to any exciting places this week I did have a lot of great conversations with my exchange friends and Korean friends, so it was a really awesome week. Especially when I was told by some girl who saw me play basketball tell me that she was my fan cos I was the best girl basketball player that she has ever seen ;)...
How can you not get a big head from that!! I don't think I will be able to fit my head on the plane back if people keep complimenting me like that HAHAH!

Digital Photography photos.

I took most of these just around my university.
They have many cool area around the uni that I went to explore during the week, some were taken on the balcony from the fifth floor of the library, some in a flower garden hidden around the basketball courts etc.
Hongik is good at hiding things, recently we found out about a cafeteria that only costs 2000won, with free refills, but it only serves lunch between 12-1:30 but still less than $2.00 for a full meal!!!!!
