Late nights

(p.s. Those who want to read part 2 about andong it's in the tab bar on the left.)

So yes I have been having a few late nights recently. On Thursday I went to Dongdaemun for late night shopping, Friday I went clubbing and yesterday I went to the 노래방 (Karaoke room).
Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures as I was having a little too much fun. (I left my memory stick at the dorm, I couldn't take it clubbing either lol)

I did however at some point over the week decorate my desk =) I used the leftover pics from my uni project I think it is very nice change from the boring walls I always see.
Actually right now there's more photos I put up on string, and also I hung some socks to dry =P I think my roommate will laugh when she notices it in the morning lol
Actually this all happened cos I needed to clean my desk and as you can see in the picture it is very clean =D ju, dad, you should be proud =P
I even bought a book the other day, can you see that big blue one? it's a book about sketching but it's a book nonetheless.

So Thursday I decided to go late night shopping at Dongdaemun. My friend decided to come along too. So straight after basketball me and her left and got there around 12am. Actually it was great timing cos the specific market I wanted to go to only opened at midnight.
The place was called pyeonghwa fashion plaza. It is massive! I blogged about going there previously while I was in Dongdaemun so have a look at the pics if you want to get an idea of PART of the plaza. It's broken up in sections so the womens fashion have their own shop.
It is mainly a wholesale market though so I didn't end up buying anything from there, however I will be buying clothing gifts from there for sure as this place is where the shop owners go to so I see a lot of these items on sale in Hongdae but for more $$.

I also travelled down to the other department stores where I bought a few cool things...
I've been trying to shop smart so most of these items are for winter, as winter here is ending soon and when I go back to Melb it will be winter...again =P Also some of these I bought with people in mind, I only really buy stuff for people if I see something and think of them. For example when I see felt I think of Ruby.

(Message me if you actually want me to buy something for you btw, I'll try to post prices if I can still get the item)
This skirt is so popular here and comes in white, black, pink and a few more colours. They are like 1000won (around $10) on sale. They also have shorter ones for the same price. The jumper was also $10 it's nice and thin so it's pretty good for those who like layers.

I kept walking by this one store thinking if I should buy this jumper last time I made the trip down to dongdaemun. There's a few with the same style but this was the only store I found selling this print so in the end I had to get it =P

Actually I bought this last time I went to Dongdaemun but I wasn't sure if I posted it up before. It's like the best buy so far cos I've worn it heaps already, forgot to put it in the wash today though :(

 $1 socks =P
Sock stalls are everywhere here, any sock u can imaging they have, I'm planning to get a few knee hi's and cool printed leggings I don't know the general prices for them but I'm sure they won't be too expensive.

I love these shoes, as you can tell the flowers can clip on and off. I took them clubbing though which was probably a mistake as my feet were really, really sore after that lol.

So I ended up hanging around until I could catch the first train back to my dorm which was at 5:45am lol, it wasn't too bad, I could probably have shopped for longer if the shops didn't close around 5:30 =P

I always have class on Fridays from 4-8pm, which is kinda a bummer cos when workshops and outings are planned they usually set the time on a Friday afternoon. Anyways after class we went to this chicken place to eat and drink, as usual lol. Honestly I like the taste of the beer and soju here but it is really difficult to keep drinking when your stomach is full of so much liquid that I end up using the restroom so many times it seems like I have a problem, I don't think from that factor alone that it's possible for me to get drunk haha...doesn't mean people should try and get me drunk though, I still probably the most talkative compared to everyone even when I'm sober.

So after drinking and eating, a few of us went to a bar and drank some more lol, actually this bar (called ho Bar IV, I think they have like 6 around hongdae, it's really popular what can I say =P) had free pool, I only played once though and lost gah! I have to go back for a rematch haha. They also had darts, funny that you have to pay for darts but not for pool...
Anyways it was actually really fun probably cos I enjoy winning and throughout the 8 rounds I was winning =D

My Argentinian/Korean friend Fabiana then tok us to a club called naked, FYI no one is actually naked watsoever it's just a name guys chillax. It was pack cos it was April 1, and we ended up meeting the two girls from Israel...complete coincidence!! It's amazing if you consider how many clubs there are in Hongdae and they ended up going to that one! whoa it still shocks me.
It was extremely fun especially with Fabi and her friends, Yoonseong (my manito), Eddy and a few others from Kimchi. Fabi says there are better clubs around so I'm pretty pumped for our next night out, it should be rad.

Yesterday I woke up around 1pm, after clubbing till 5 it felt pretty good to sleep. The plan was to have lunch and get some work done...it ended up being a whole day outing lol
First I went to have lunch with Rena, then we went to meet some people to eat again lol, then we went to Ehwa University.
Seiko and Hearen (don't know if I've spelt it right :(
Seiko is from Japan shame that I met her two days before she leaves again, hopefully she'll come back before I leave cos she is really sweet.

Oh yeah so this is the place we went to eat, actually we came here because one of our friends was working here, Jun Oh. This was rice, but before we put it on here it used to be chicken with that sauce and cheese. After we finished the chicken we mixed the rice with the sauce. It was really yum, but then again everything here is =P

We decided to walk down to Ehwa, not too far maybe 15 minute walk.
Had I known earlier I would have been there already. lol

I've been wanting to check out Ehwa for a while now, it's said to have really good shopping as this uni is only for women, so just as they said there was some amazingly cheap shops selling things from $5-$10.
Except for Ling bo (Cream jacket) all these girls are Japanese, I think the reason we came here was because they wanted to check it out.
So I use to think those who spoke Korean sounded really cool, after being here for a month I've kinda become accustomed to it so when I heard the Japanese girls speak, wow I want to go to Japan and learn Japanese =P it's so cool sugoi!

I should have taken a few more pics of Ehwa cos it was really pretty. They even have a really pretty study area =P kinda reminds me of hogwarts...just a little.

Really cute jumper dress I got from a small store.
Ok so there are like 50 million little stores that sell woolen jumpers here. I got these for $5 which is y I bought them, but otherwise they're around $20 for good quality thick woolen ones like these.
Cute white woolen pleated skirt I got for $10 last one left.

I got a few other things like tshirts for $5 but I cbb going back to my camera and taking more pics etc. sorry maybe I'll post a section of things i bought when I get more stuff.
I figured out that the cheapest way to send things back is by ship, $28 i'm pretty sure for 10kg's of stuff. not bad considering 1kg is $12 lol. All I need now is 10kgs of stuff hehe.
I get it shipped at the post office at my uni here, so convenient yes. However the catch is it takes 2 months to ship, but it's a lot cheaper than any other method of transportation.

Ok so quickly before I go, the karaoke room was really fun, most people got really into it. I have to say Korean guys are really, really good singers. Rena could back me up on that. It was definitely a good weekend!!

Tomorrow's blog: Sunday's trip to prayer mountain.
+ (NF&F)AQ Part 2

Goodnight all!
