(NF&F)AQ Part 2

Not frequently and Frequently asked questions Part 2
1. How's the shopping in South Korea?
really good hahaha, there's everything you could think of really. Most of the clothing items though are for people that are a size 0-1 maybe 2 lol
Ehwa has been the best place to shop so far I would say. There were plenty of shops with sales everywhere, Hongdae is good too for more boutiques, the problem with Hongdae would be that some items maybe worth the money but in the same store you could find something that would be cheaper elsewhere.
I always think it doesn't matter if you could get it for cheaper, as long as you think it is worth the money you paid for it then it doesn't matter.
I also shopped for fabric today at Dongdaemun and it is much cheaper than Melbourne so I am now in love with the massive fabric market!! There are like so many fabric stores there it's crazy! I feel a little guilty that I can't back this up with photo's I was a little too overwhelmed to remember I had my camera in my bag =P next time hehe.

2. What do you reckon of the Korean guys?
Hahaha actually the people who keep asking me this question is the people here, some are not bad I'd have to say. If you want to make a guy smile here then everyone should learn this korean word...잘생겼다 (Jal-saeng-gyeot-da) it means handsome.
My friend asked me what I learnt one day and i was telling him the list of words I learnt and one of them was this, when I said it he smiled looking very proud at himself LOL.

3. What's your favourite food in Korea?
So they have so much good food here it's hard to pick. I'm not a big eater of spicy food, my sister and parents can vouch for me on that, anyways I can take most of the food here so if they say it's kinda spicy I still order it.
My faourite so far I think is
찌게 (Jji-ge) it stands for stew. Another good choice is...

Sorry to break the post but I stopped writing so me and my friends could surprise Eddy for his birthday, and long story short we had a cake with a candle and the candle set off the fire alarm in the building... it was funny, only because nothing serious ended up happening but yeh that is one memory I'll never forget, and I'm sure it was a memorable birthday for Eddy too haha!!

Yes so another good dish is 삼겹살 (Sam-gyeop-sal) it's basically the term for the korean barbeque's they have everywhere and the smell it gets stuck to your clothes. Normally people go to these places in groups to eat and drink and be merry.
4. Weirdest thing you've done in Korea...
Ok so two things, one would be eating Korean style cold noodles which are cold and rubbery. You have to cut it with scissors and when you eat it all you do is pretty much swallow it, I'm not sure how good that is for the digestive system but it is really nice to eat on a warm day.
The other thing would be hanging my socks on my shelf. Well I didn't really want to spend extra money on a clothes rack that I wouldn't bring back so I either borrow someone else or I hang my clothes around my room on hangers.
Hopefully the next time I show you my shelves there will be more photo's of people and less of socks =P

  1. Hanging cloths in your room will make the room (and you) smell like dirty cloths. I know this because I have done it in England during winter. You do not realize it yourself because you will be used to it. Others will smell it from your cloth and from you. So, not a good way to save.
