Continuating? oh continuation!!

I've been listening to too much broken English that it's effecting my brain lol.
Before I continue I have to say today I was walking around with my roommate after dinner and she told me that my phone is ice cream =P haha so cute, actually what she meant was that my phone's type was called ice cream, her's was cookie cos we both had the same brand phone (cyon) awww 너무 귀엽다!!

OK so continuing on from last post I just showed ya all the pictures of the palace, well after that we went to eat and drink.
On the way my friend bought this thing which she said I should try I'll show you the pic and then explain what it was...

Ok so this is what she called what happens after the butterflies fly away...a cacoon? correct! You should have seen her stabbing away with this big toothpick attempting to fill her stick full of them.
They taste crunchy...not an appealing word when I think of cacoons.

So the surprising thing about Korean's is that they will start drinking even before the food is even prepared D:
We had Korean bbq, I've had that quite often but this time we had like 4 different parts of pork lol, even the fat which they told me was nice...I thought it would be hard and crispy like lechon but it was soggy and soft haha.
I also learnt a new drinking came called Titanic lol, you have half a glass of beer, you put the shot glass in it and you pour small amounts of soju, if you sink the glass you have to drink it...one shot. Before we started eating we probably played that game three time...so that equals to 3 girls being drunk before we started eating LOL
We have a lot of students in our class lol.
So this is the restaurant we ate in, if you look closely it looks like that dude is wearing a hat ;P
My professor is that older guy sitting on the left.
Just side dishes but already it makes me hungry! 배고파!!
On the right that bottle is called cider...but it's real name should be sprite =P
No one here knows what apple cider is, it amazes me.

Ok so after we ate so much it cost us 25000won...seriously I felt like I ate my money's worth though, we went for what they call 2nd round. >.<
At this point a lot of people said they were drunk, one girl knew she was because she explained to me when she's drunk her voice gets really high like this...u had to be there to hear it though :P
Anyways we ended up somewhere else look kinda like a bar, and some one bought ice cream from a store similar to 7eleven called 'buy the way'.
I ended up with this ice cream.
If you know Korean then you would know that my ice cream's name was "pig bar"
It tasted nothing like pig however, it had sweet strawberry insides and the outside reminded me of a golden gaytime. so two thumbs up for the ice cream! :D
This was some kind of salad with like seashells apparently...
I'm sorry I don't think that looks anything like a seashell...honestly looked a slug after previously being a snail.
 Ice creams for everyone yay!
That guy on the right is funny, the pink iphone is also his. He is straight though...being gay is a touchy subject in Korea. I am to assume no one is gay unless they are open about it.
Yes they all were having a good time, no joke.
 언니
That other ice cream is strawberry...not bad, but I made the right decision with that pig bar. :D
That guy on the right is also an exchange student. His name is Ni Qin I think I've mentioned him b4 in my blog...just to recap u all, he comes from china, He was an international student at Singapore, transferred to Swinburne, and is on exchange here in Korea.
They made me eat my dried fish head and I notice they never ate there own.
The nuts taste just like nagaraya :) mmmmm

So after this place I seriously could hardy move I was very full mostly from the beer, snacks ice cream, soju, water, pork etc. lol
Then I found out we were moving to go to a third place for a third round. It was such a sigh of relief when I found out one of my friends had to go home, using her and the midnight dorm rule as an excuse me and qin managed to get out of going for a third round...who knows how many more they had! D:
My friend  Eun Bee ;) we were trying to kill time as we waited for our bus to come. :)

So one thing I should mention about my exchange friend Qin, next year after he graduates he is going back to shanghai to set up his own cafe.
Anyways there's this place called artbox and on the way home he told me he spent $150 AUD the other day on stuff there and I said I have to see what you bought...he said he really likes the stuff they sell there...ok so let me show you a few pictures I took of art box the other day...
They just newly opened up in Hongdae...

Yes it's all very cute in this shop.
Real plants, but my friend just told me the small ones don't grow :(

lots and lots of jelly beans and candy! Justin would love it here..

I realised while he was showing me his stuff that a lot of the items he bought for his cafe in Shanghai. Some of them were really cute. I should go to his room and steal them for you guys lol ;)

He bought these cos they were cute. They are actually bath mitts lol
His 4 bags of artbox goodies.

Some photoframes he plans to put in his cafe...

It's a mirror!! lol the chicken is so fat it's adorable!

Uhummmm yes ok so that was the end of my day, it was jam packed with lots of fun stuff.

Today was good too, but I will post about that tomorrow. :D goodnight!!!!

  1. Great Post Ying - I think your Uni should promote it to potential exchange student.
