Hondae = cheap food, cheap clothes and shoes my size hooray!

So I've finally made it to Seoul...actually I've already been here for 3 days and it's been really cold but really fun. :)
I've met some pretty cool exchange students too, haven't made many Korean friends yet, but that's only because I start Uni today. I've been wandering around Hongdae with a friend called Eddy who is also from swinburne, but he Prahran campus so he thinks this place is massive lol. It works out well because I can somewhat understand what the Korean's say and he helps me not to get lost. =P
Oh shopping here OMGOSH! It's like super awesome, I have only so far been to Hongdae but there are like 5 million little cheap stores with jewellery, shoes, clothes, bags you name it. And Aiya the jumpers here are amazing, cute knitted ones, super awesome hoodies etc.
Actually I bought one the other day for 5000 Won which is equivalent to less than $5.00 =D

Pretty sweet aye?
Other than that I have been trying to look around first before I start buying much cos I don't want to ship too many things over, although I was told it's not too expensive so phew!
And the shoes! I was worried that my feet were too large lol, but I just manage I reckon, Ju if only you were here to help stop me from buying too many :D
Home Plus
...Actually this is also the world cup stadium

Me and some mates also went to Homeplus to buy things for our rooms, Didn't need to much but things like a thermos is very convenient here cos they have hot and cold water filters everywhere with little paper bags to drink from which is cool but in my dorm and in classes I can now drink warm tea or coffee when needed =D
It looks like a lot but it's split between the three of us. We had to take the train there so we were trying to stuff our bags with as much of it as we could. I'm so glad we didn't buy anymore! The guy on the left is the Aussie guy Eddy and the guy on the right is German and he's David, but pronounced German...if that makes any sense.

Somethings I took for granted while at home though would have to be our 2 bathrooms, which was only shared between 5, now we have 2 Showers to shared between like 36 girls, it's ok now that it's winter but in Summer...GG!

...At Uni...
That red traingle thing at the top actually spins, pretty neat if that converts the wind energy into power.
Yes the white stuff in the pond is actually ice, not moss or fungus as I first thought lol

On the left is the hot drinks, with an assortment of coffee to hot chocolate, they all get dispensed in a little cup, so cute!

Well my uni has lots of pretty scenery but the uni building itself look pretty beat up and old. However the some of the subjects I've taken so far have been amazing I'm so excited to start uni now.
